A message from the artist and long time Franklin customer, Cody Van Fleet:

This strap is made with a combination of traditional leather tooling techniques and the line work, shading, and coloring usually used in creating traditional tattoo flash.  The India inks used are permanent, waterproof, and lightfast.  The artwork is applied to a panel of US-made Wickett & Craig vegetable tanned leather that's glued using a water-based contact cement and saddle stitched by hand using German Ritza thread to a Franklin Strap cinch strap.  The sides of the panel are burnished, and the face of the panel is sealed with an acrylic topcoat to further preserve the artwork and provide a finished look.
