I’ve owned on of these 12 string capos for 20+ years and it’s just showing slight changes in sound of strings. A good investment.

OK – this is absolutely the absolute, absolute best capo I have EVER used. It just arrived and it is fantastic. I own them all…and this is the best. Period.
Dwight Burgess –
Just got the capo and love it already. My guitar really did stay in tune no matter where I put it, and so easy to use. And while some may not think it a big thing, Greg sent me a hand written thank you note for my purchase and I thought that was a very nice touch. Very impressed with the capo and the company.
Doug Kuony (verified owner) –
The whole roller up and down the neck feature is interesting, but I wanted something that would keep my guitar in tune in various positions. The design looked like it might be balanced enough to do that.
As it turns out, it is! Its continuous pressure across the fretboard and the centering feature of the hourglass roller on the back, make it very functional. It allows me to change keys and positions between songs without the usual need to retune! This is just about the best capo I can imagine. My life just got a lot easier!

Just got mine today…works great!!!
Have a song to do at church tomorrow…Will use it… rolling to change key will take some practice… But that’s OK…
Thank you…

Bought. Years ago. Can’t seem to get it to roll as you demonstrate need 2 hands. Does it need lubrication or springs to tight. Guitar Washburn Festival 89
Charlton –
It just takes practice! It does help a lot if you put 3 in 1 oil or silicon oil on the rods where the flanges are though. The Glider we use to demonstrate isn’t special. It’s the exact same thing you receive, but the gentleman in the video is simply really good at it. With practice, you can get it rolling in real time as he does.

I really like the 2 capos I bought but if I store it on or past the nut it changes tuning, am I the only one? or am I doing something wrong?
Charlton –
Thanks for sharing Richard! Definitely do not store the capo on raised strings. That will certainly pinch you sharp if not break your strings. It needs to be as close to flush with the nut as possible.
Hal Sherwood (verified owner) –
Definitely 5 stars ! Got it a couple months ago , hands down the best capo in the collection . Rolling is no problem with a bit of practice and i use a capo a lot … Now , when is my 12 string going to be so lucky ?!
Paul Michael –
I just got one of these and am not surprised that it does not roll as easily as shown in the video.
That is NOT TO SAY it’s not a great capo. Itis just not an effortless roll.
Charlton –
Thanks for the comment! Just to be clear, nothing is effortless when playing an instrument. Everything takes practice. The capo we use in the demos is no different than the one you received. In fact, we’ve made it better since we filmed them. The artists we have in the demos are simply good at it. They’ve practiced a lot and have gotten used to the movements. You can’t always assume you can perform just as well as someone else that’s had time to get used to it.

Shipping is quick as a mofo! Thanks for the personalized note from Mikey (you share a name with my cat, added bonus, I thought he’d gotten me a black friday gift)! It’s everything I ever thought it could be, since this is my first capo!

Seriously the best capo I have ever used.
The rolling function is great, and I actually was able to easily roll it from fret to fret with the thumb of my fretting hand as easily as the guys in the videos did, but where this thing really wins is in tuning stability.
Because of the shape and the construction, it lines itself up on the neck pretty much automatically, and as a result it goes on faster than either a clamp style capo or a traditional bar and strap. I have Taylor, Washburn, and Gibson acoustic guitars and this capo works identically on all of them. That was a genuine surprise. And not needing to re-position and re-position to avoid tuning issues is an absolute joy.
I rarely give any product five stars because that implies that there is no room for improvement anywhere, but this wonderfully clever and simple device deserves it.
It probably took me no more than 60 seconds to pop the package open and snap the capo onto my Taylor and very nearly break out into laughter at just how obvious it seems once you actually have this thing on your guitar.
Will I be buying more of these? Absolutely I will. Would I recommend them to other people? Beyond a shadow of a doubt. This is just THAT MUCH better than any other capo I have ever used.

Thanks for the support and kind words!!! Spread the word my friend. We take the manufacturing process very serious. It feels great to hear folks noticing!

Got some good delay running there. Sounds really good.
Ed Kydd –
I’ve had this capo for 20 years. It spans a 3” width or more, and rolls in snug to the selected fret without inadvertently bending the strings out of tune.
Randy (verified owner) –
Got mine the other day, haven’t had much time with it, but just from messing around with it, my feelings are: It is well constructed and rolls easily. It is something that will require some practice to get use to doing well, but that’s what playing an instrument is all about. Looking forward to seeing what I can come up with. I do recommend putting a drop of oil on either side to reduce friction.
Charlton –
Thanks for giving us a shot, Randy! You are absolutely correct that it takes some time to get used to. Once you get the muscle memory down it can be an incredible tool! Reach out if we can help with anything!
Ron –
Do you make these for banjo?
Charlton –
I’ve actually used the Glider on multiple banjos with no problem at all!
Joel Wiseheart –
Yep, works just fine on bass guitar too! Suggestion to get a five-star rating on the design for Glider Capo 2.0 (or a bigger Bass Glider Capo 1.0): Make the roller on the back of the neck interchangeable with another roller with a thicker diameter. The frets on a bass are further apart, so I find myself having to rotate it two or three times to get it to move one fret. A thicker diameter back roller would make it move further with each push. Excellent product otherwise, I love it!
Charlton –
I understand what you mean. The glider isn’t necessarily designed for bass so the fact it works with 4 string basses was a happy accident. You can do some amazing stuff with it on bass. The overtones are shockingly amazing!

Have started using a capo more and more but can never get it in the right spot. Open E string buzzes most of the time. Bought this capo based on watching a couple videos and it works as shown! From the second I put the capo on, all strings sounded great with no buzzing. Love the fact that you can roll it up and down the fret board. Going to make going between songs a LOT easier!

Got my capo in a couple days. Wasn’t expecting to get it that soon. I love it. I have never used a capo before. It really does make my guitar sound different. It works great and looks great.
Ed Leonard –
I have been waiting for this device all my guitar playing life. It’s amazing! I play about 400 songs that are all capo’d differently and this makes it a breeze to go from song to song.
Kris Adams –
Will this work on a 12 string guitar?
Charlton –
The Glider is not designed for 12 strings and classics but we are working on a version that does. Hopefully will be available this year!
James –
What about the standard E tuning
How does it go past the first fret and then bring it on .
So if you have one song in Standard E and then the next is needing capo 2 and then the next needs capo 4 and then the next song needs back to standard E.
During live performances where there’s no time for extra fumbling, how do you use standard E and then quickly get on the neck?

DOES THIS WORK ON A 12 STRING ACOUSTIC?
Charlton –
The Glider is not designed for 12 strings. We do have a design for one but we’re not quite able to offer it yet. Fingers crossed for 2024!

I just got the capo 30 minutes ago…Its PERFECT!!!….not a string out of tune at all….i kept sliding it all over the neck….no problems at all….My only concern is the silver coil looks so thin….what happens when it wears and snaps?……I know i’m worrying about something that probably won’t happen for quite a while, but what then?…..Can i replace that or will I need a new capo?……well, anyway, this is a fantastic capo……I look forward to a 12 string capo….I play 12 a lot and this would be a dream!!!

I just got my capo 30 minutes ago and am gliding all over the neck with absolutely no tweaking the strings at all….its beyond PERFECT!….my only concern is the silver coil…its so thin….what happens if and when it snaps?….is it an easy fix or is the capo no longer useful?…..I know its worrying about something that probably won’t happen for quite some time, but its a concern…..Nevertheless, this is the best capo on the market….nothing comes close!!…..CHUCK PAUL
Charlton –
Great news! I’m glad it’s working well for you, Chuck! I personally have never seen any of the hardware break. I’ve had the same Glider for 13 years and it’s just gotten better with time.
BC Priest –
Does this rolling capo model work effectively on 12 strings? Please tell me you have a Capo for them.
Charlton –
We currently do not have a 12 string version available for purchase. We do have a design for one but not quite able to build them. Fingers crossed for the future!
